Quiet Time: Engine For Spiritual Growth
Your quiet time is the time you spend alone with God daily in singing, prayer and reading the word of God. The best time for this is early in the morning as youwake up before meeting anyone else or doing anything else. Jesus Christ Himself is our example. He rose up daily to go to a quiet place where He could be alone to offer His prayer to God.
If done properly and regularly, the quiet time gives you strength and spiritual food for the day. Moses, a great friend of God, spent time to speak with God (Exodus 33: 11). Jesus the son of God observed quiettime (Mark 1: 35 and Mark 6: 46). If you do the same daily, it will help you to make Jesus the Lord of your life.
